Select an ad (found online) which you find particularly effective and analyze it. Why is it effective? What type of message does it convey? How does it do so? What choices has the author made which convey his/her message or intent? How does the ad try to convince its audience to buy its product?


I found a google stock advertisement online that i found particularly effective in its own way. It is effective becuse it uses sexuality to attract male sock holders to google. It has an attractive women lifting up a white tank top smiling seductively and the white tank top has google on it. The author has made a choice to go with the female instead of a male or an object becuase sex sells and most stock holders are men and this will ultimately attract more audiences then any other symbol. The ad trys to seduce men into falling for it by putting a seductive picture of an attractive women taking her clothes off.
