http://www.cosmopolitan.com/

My website is Cosmopolitan's online magazine webpage. It is a completely reliable source to find information from for my topic because it is the website that directly correlates to my magazine. In fact, on the actually print magazine, the website www.cosmopolitan.com is listed on the front cover as an extra/other reference. The pictures and colors of the website are in direct correlation with what the magazine shows on its front cover, and the logo name Cosmopolitan is in the same font and color on both magazine and website. Also, the online website offers a little bit more than the magazine does. The online website offers more instant sweepstakes to win make-up and gift bags. The website also has videos that show how to put on the makeup rather than just reading how to do it like we would in the actual magazine. The online magazine also offers many more quizzes, polls, and articles than the print one because the print magazine can only show a limited amount of things per issue. I believe it is appropriate to choose pictures over text when something can simply not be explained with words alone; when a visual is needed to see what the words are trying to explain. For example, when describing a color in words we may not see exactly what the author wants us to see. We may be seeing what we think he is trying to say. But if we saw a picture of the color, we would all have the same view and same vision as the author.
