This Glades scented Candle commercial is mostly directed at women who are home owners. The time of the commercial was during the holidays, so the commercial is directed toward that time and making your home festive for the holidays. The woman in the commercial invited friends over and light the gingerbread scented candle to make it seem like the ginger bread cookies on the plate came from her oven. However her friends discover it is the candle and then the the commercial turns into the advertisement to promote the use of the candle for the special holiday time. I think the commercial does a really good job trying to target their audience. Everyone likes the smell of the comfort of the holidays, like ginger bread, and trees, so promoting the new scents with the holiday aspect really was a good idea.
