Journal Four







This is an ad for Hoover Vacuum cleaners. I believe this message is effective because it is simple and straight to the point. It gives you the image of how powerful the suction of a Hoover vacuum cleaner is. The author relates the suction of their vacuums to the suction through a broken airplane window. The author has chosen to make this ad very simple with one picture and very little words to get his message across. This leaves a lot of room for the audiences imagination.
